Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning in Orlando always tells you about how our team of experts are NATE-certified, and while it sounds reassuring, what does it actually mean?
NATE is an abbreviation for North American Technician Excellence and, as stated on their website, is the nation’s largest certification organization for HVAC (heating, ventilation, air conditioning) and refrigeration technicians. The organization was developed by and has been supported by the entire HVAC and refrigeration industry but not all people in the industry are required to be certified by NATE. The certification is discretionary and technicians can provide heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration services without being certified by NATE.
It’s important to Service Experts that our team is NATE-certified to make sure we are sending the most qualified and trained technicians into your home. To make sure technicians meet these benchmarks, the NATE-certification exams validate real-world working knowledge of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems for technicians. The assessments are knowledge-based tests that assess the technician’s knowledge of these standards.
Since Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning focuses on the HVAC side of NATE-certification (not refrigeration), there are only certain areas relevant to our technicians. NATE test candidates may earn installation and/or service certification in one or more of the specialty areas listed below:
