What Are Common Air Conditioning Problems?

Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning is here with a few of the most usual A/C problems in Orlando.

  • No Cool Air

If you can hear your air conditioning system working but there isn’t cool air being produced, you may need to have your refrigerant levels analyzed. Refrigerant is what helps make sure the air coming out of your air conditioner is actually cool. Call Service Experts and we’ll come out and review your refrigerant levels and look into why your system is not blowing cool air.

  • Fan Won’t Rotate

A reason your condenser fan might not be rotating could be that it simply burned out and you have to replace it. Humidity tends to cause more condensation so a second matter to watch for is that the water is not draining properly or that the drain is restricted. If you can check these issues, you may be able to find the issue; if not, give Service Experts a call and we can investigate what has stopped your condenser fan from rotating and review your options to get your system working again.

  • Not Cooling Properly

First, try lowering the temperature on your thermostat. It seems simple but sometimes we forget the obvious. If that doesn’t get your A/C cooling, take a look at the air filter. If the air filter is blocked, it could cause significant cooling issues. Another thing that could cause your lack of cooling is that your AC equipment is not sized properly, and unfortunately this is a typical issue when homes are constructed. Service Experts will come out and conduct an analysis to determine if the size of your system is causing your problems.

  • System is Short Cycling

If your AC is short cycling, or turning on or off continuously, it could mean one of multiple things. One is that your condenser or evaporator is dirty and requires cleaning. Once the equipment is cleaned and all obstructions removed, you may be back in business. Keep in mind that humidity also plays a part so if your home cools to the correct temperature, but then the humidity causes your home to heat up quickly, it could result in on-again, off-again air conditioning because it’s having to work harder to keep your home cool.

No matter your trouble, whatever AC trouble you run into, Service Experts is here for you all day, every day so we can get your family comfortable quickly.
