Painting Vans Pink in the Fight Against Breast Cancer

September 27, 2016

This October, two of our Service Experts centers will be making a statement with pink vans. Fras-Air/General Service Experts and Service Experts Heating and Air Conditioning of Raleigh are each painting two of their service vans pink for the fight against breast cancer.

Throughout the month of October, Fras-Air/General Service Experts will be giving 20% of all sales from their pink vans to the North Jersey Susan G. Komen chapter to help raise money to help cure breast cancer. Service Experts of Raleigh will be giving 5% of all sales from their pink vans and also donate $10 for every heating tune-up to their local chapter, Susan G. Komen North Carolina Triangle to the Coast.

This is the second time Fras-Air/General Service Experts has painted two of their vans pink to raise money for this great cause. In 2015, Fras-Air was able to raise over $7,000 for Komen North Jersey. David Schneider, the general manager and one of his employees both lost their mothers to other forms of cancer and were motivated to help other families.

“The National Cancer Institute says that 107,184 women in New Jersey had breast cancer in 2016,” Schneider stated. “While the number of cases is actually declining each year, that still represents a significant number of families who are dealing with this disease, and there is still a serious need for research and support.”

Chris Overton, the General Manager for Service Experts of Raleigh, echoed Schneider’s thoughts. “According to the North Carolina State Center for Health Statistics, breast cancer is the number one type of cancer in our state – for both females and males.”
